Eating Good at Rick’s Good Eats

DSC_0139-01If you’re craving comfort food but looking to be a little adventurous with flavour, then Rick’s Good Eats is for you. Founded by Rick Matharu, winner of Food Network Canada’s Recipe to Riches, Rick’s Good Eats challenges traditional recipes by fusing Indian flavours with typical Western cuisine.

If you’re of South Asian descent, these flavours may not be so new to you, but have you mixed butter chicken with mac and cheese, or tossed your bacon in tandoori masala? The menu at Rick’s Good Eats does just that, adding an Indian flair to almost any Western food and even mixing things up with dessert, such as introducing rasmalai samosas and apple pie samosas. You won’t find these anywhere else!

Their five-star rating on Yelp! is no surprise as well, with simple decor paired with imaginative and colourful art pieces, friendly service and an easily accessible location for people of all different cities in the Greater Toronto Area.

Butter Chicken Mac ‘N Cheese

This award-winning dish is definitely not something you should miss! It’s everything you love about butter chicken mixed with the creaminess of mac n’ cheese and paired with their tangy and crunchy original achari coleslaw. Winner, winner, butter chicken dinner!

Crisp tandoori bacon and gooey cheese sandwiched in between crunchy, buttery naan alongside perfectly crispy masala fries. This is the ultimate cross between a grilled cheese and BLT, with an added Indian influence that makes this dish absolutely drool-worthy.

Dosa Burger

A potato patty full of pungent Indian spices and paired with bright and fresh lettuce, onion, tomato and cilantro. This is a terrific vegetarian option that certainly packs a flavour punch!

Go in and grab a bite of this perfect marriage between Western and Indian food. Thank you to Rick’s Good Eats for the great food and kind service. We’ll definitely be back soon!
